What parents are saying

Prior to working with Caitilyn, I really didn't know what a parent coach was...or how one could help me with my challenges that I was experiencing my children. I learned very quickly that a parent coach is someone that acts as a sage guide in navigating the waters of being a parent. Each week Caitilyn would coach me through self-identified areas of focus, and supported me in making small tweaks which, like a ripple effect, made a great impact on my relationship with my children...and even my husband. At the beginning of my time working with Caitilyn, I was an overworked, overwhelmed mom. Through the several weeks spent working with Caitilyn, I was able to figure out how to reprioritize my time, which shifted more of my energy toward my family...and myself. Caitilyn is a complete joy - she's smart, savvy, wise, and non-judgmental. I would highly recommend her - she'd be an asset to any parent.

~Corey, Philadelphia PA

Working with Caitilyn was an incredible gift I gave to myself- one that will continue to enrich my life and my family for all our years together. Her kind, non- judgmental listening style allowed me to look at the aspects of my parenting that feel most vulnerable to share, and to work on how they could be more in alignment with the values I hold for my family. My relationship with my daughter has deepened, I am more in tune with her and aware of the small and precious opportunities available to me every day to connect with her. Before coaching, I missed so much. Caitilyn is an excellent listener and created continuity between each session. She gently guided me in recognizing how to best use the time I have with my child to create a sweeter, more loving, and deeper relationship. I cannot express how grateful I am for this awareness. I wish everyone would do this. Every parent and child would benefit from this support and reflection.

Caitilyn is an amazing coach.  From our first call together, she made me feel heard and understood.  She has such a gift of combining active listening with timely questions that really communicate her understanding of my challenge, and her interest in pushing me to explore things in a new way.  Caitilyn is patient, compassionate and skilled at observing insights and patterns that I wasn't aware of.  I was able to both focus on the big picture of my life and drill down to develop practical approaches for my everyday struggles.  She really helped me find a flexible structure to my life that was missing. I looked forward to our calls each week and have noticed a lasting impact on my family life. I feel closer to my children and much more capable of handling the parenting challenges that come my way.

~Sarah, Denver CO

Caitilyn's ability to truly listen and hear what you are saying is a gift. Having a weekly or biweekly meeting with Caitilyn to focus on one's parenting and children is an investment in the future. Bringing my thoughts, emotions, practices, mistakes, and hopes to the table each week helped me to maintain stamina and perspective on what is important to me as a parent.

Hello Parent! I’m Caitilyn. You are probably reading this because you’re walking this beautiful path called parenting, but the way forward is not always clear. Children’s challenging behaviors, big emotions, and unfulfilled parental expectations can all lead to a family life filled with feelings of overwhelm and stress. With all the information out there, it’s hard to figure out how to proceed. Parent coaching with me helps you find your way.

If you are interested in the paradigms of gentle/ respectful/ conscious parenting, I’d love to support you! My passion lies in finding concrete ways to bring these ambitious concepts to life in your family, in ways that feel authentic to you. Together, we craft boundaries that make sense, routines that bring family life a lovely flow, and simple rituals to infuse the everyday with sweetness. We find simple, meaningful ways for you to connect with your children, bringing them a deep sense of belonging and you a renewed sense of enthusiasm. From this strong base, parenting challenges begin to feel less daunting. Solutions begin to present themselves; parental confidence and ease grow.

If you are a stressed-out parent, doing your best to juggle modern life’s many demands, it would be my pleasure to aide you in clarifying what is important to you. We work together to create a life based on your most deeply held values. I help you say yes to invitations and activities that bring you life, and no to those that feel draining. We put screens in their rightful place, and create schedules that include time for life-giving activities, as well as downtime. Together, we simplify in order to bring back the energy, connection, and fun!

I love parent coaching because the process meets you right where you are. You are the expert in your family; I am highly trained in a powerful coaching model developed specifically for parents. You bring your unique strengths, abilities, and challenges; I pair deep compassion with a sense of lightness, and positivity with authenticity. It is my absolute pleasure to walk beside you for a time, as you forge your own beautiful parenting path!

Who I Am

I am a mama who has done loads of independent research on respectful parenting, piecing together what I’ve learned to create my own imperfect (and beautiful!) parenting path. I’m a PCI Certified Parent Coach ®, and I have benefited from parent coaching myself! I am a former elementary school teacher with 15 years of experience working with young children and their families in public schools. I am a homeschooling parent of a tween, with a toddler along for the ride. I'm a great listener, an insightful questioner, and an enthusiastic cheerleader for parents making positive change. I deeply value the myriad ways that it is possible to raise wonderful humans. My deepest desire is that all children, and their parents, thrive.
