My Services

01.

Work with me over eight to twelve sessions to address your current parenting challenge and create the life you want for your family.

We start with a free 30 minute phone call where you share your parenting challenge, ask any questions you may have, and we establish if we are a good fit. After that, a contract and intake paperwork are filled out to begin our coaching sessions.

The first session is spent discussing your current parenting challenge. I offer a compassionate and non-judgemental ear as you share what is going on. After that, we dedicate a session to your and your family’s strengths, getting clear on what we can draw on when addressing the challenge. From there, we spend a session dreaming up a new reality that is closer to your ideal. This energizing step fuels and focuses our ongoing sessions. Every session after that is about identifying small changes that create big results in your home.

During our sessions, I ask questions that help you to focus, and to think in new ways about how to use your strengths in creating the family life you desire. I celebrate your victories and hold you accountable for doing the same! I offer suggestions and resources when appropriate. Finally, I send a follow-up email after each session to help you focus on your intended actions steps, and give you food for thought between sessions.

Parent coaching can be done by phone, Zoom, or in person in Oakland, CA.

Couples Coaching follows a similar arc to individual coaching. We spend time getting clear on each parent's strengths, making them visible to themselves and their partner. This process builds appreciation between partners, and readies the couple to address parenting challenges as a team. During the Design session, we use this knowledge to plan steps based on each parent's unique abilities.

Couples coaching is for partners who are ready to work together to address their parenting challenges. It does not include couples counseling to address interpersonal conflicts between adults.

03.

Group coaching is for groups of up to six parents who are working on similar parenting challenges. If you have friends you trust who would like to set up a coaching group together, this can be a powerful and supportive option.
